Next, Teachers NEW or RETURNING to the Challenger Learning Center...start here after completing the review of our programs.

Everyone associated with the Challenger Learning Center wants every mission to go as planned and if a mission experiences difficulty, how to successfully recover and continue.  Thus, to accomplish this, we need teamwork and teachers to be review and complete the required materials.  Please open each PDF and print to your local printer.

Please note, to ensure that your class trip is rewarding and that you obtain your accreditation, you will need to open and print each of the five sections listed below and complete as required.  All documents/forms 1 through 5 must be completed and returned prior to any trip to the Challenger Learning Center.

Teachable Moments in the News

The Communicator Newsletter           FALL 2007

Welcome to the Woodstock Challenger Center's Communicator Newsletter a newsletter that takes recent earth and space science related news stories and places them in a context relevant to the science curriculum. It enables teachers to use news story to create a teachable moment in the classroom.

From a spacecraft capturing samples from a comet, and rovers deciphering signs of ancient seas on the surface of Mars, to the launch of a new probe to the planet Mercury, the Communicator is meant to provide educators with another tool to instruct students on the wonders of space and man's adventurous spirit.

The Communicator is distributed to all teachers via email in the fall and spring of each school year and also offers information pertaining to public programs, that your students and their families may take advantage of, and experience space together in a professional and family friendly atmosphere.
